ChartObject GMD Growth Assay Compared to Conventional NCCLS Broth Dilution Fungal Susceptibility Assay

Using C. albicans 64545 and C. lucitanea 64125

Increased fluorescence was not considered indicative of growth unless it exceeded the no growth control by at least 20%. The 20% threshold is indicated by the straight black horizontal line. The lowest antibiotic concentration that inhibited growth below a 20% increase in relative fluorescence was used as the MIC. The MICS in strain 64545 and 64125 were 0.63 and 5 mg/ml, respectively.
